A few weeks ago the b.kinda team headed to a magnificent location for our very first Christmas photo shoot. As anyone working in fashion or retail will know, with any new season there’s a lot of planning that goes on behind the scenes. And one of the most fun bits is the photoshoot! Great outfits, makeup, hair, excitement – I mean…what girl doesn’t like that?
So, because we know you like following what the team are up to behind the scenes on our social media, we thought we’d give you a look behind a great day out – and how we got our selection of images for the party season.
As you probably already know, 100% of our profits go to end of life care and so we are always very careful about the expense of anything we do. That’s why we were delighted when Flete House offered their magnificent location to us.
Set on the outskirts of the ancient town of Modbury in South Devon, this incredible Grade I listed building was once the family seat of the Mildmays. As you might imagine, it’s steeped in history, with the earliest parts of the home dating right back to Elizabethan times.
Fast forward a few centuries and it is now luxury senior living apartments owned by Audley Villages. The General Manager Tony Jones is a great supporter of St Lukes Hospice Plymouth and was, once again, very generous in lending us the space.
Once we had the location, we needed the models and once again we are always delighted when people want to give their time. We welcomed…Paisley who you may have seen before on our website who is a fashion student at Arts University Plymouth together with Tanya & Romaine who are friends of Victoria.
Then of course we needed the fashion. Well – that part is of course a lot easier! There are plenty of lovely things that have been coming into b.kinda HQ ahead of Christmas.
Finally we just needed to add a photographer! The photographer is very much in charge on a day like this and Jay Stone was the perfect man for the job. For more than a decade he has been working with some of the best businesses and people all across the UK and he was a great choice to bring our creative visions to life.
What do you think? Let us know on our social media channels – you know we get a real buzz when we hear from you!
